Text verification
The other copies we checked
Agreement is useful evidence only when we are honest about where copies came from. This page therefore shows lineage as well as numbers.
The comparison does not collapse everything into one “match” number. It separates exact characters, the same ordered words with character/punctuation/presentation differences, actual word-sequence differences, and missing or extra text slots. “Presentation” does not mean punctuation is unimportant; it means the ordered case-sensitive word sequence is unchanged. Original strings remain in the evidence. The classifier is deterministic and does not use AI judgement.
This page loads a small summary and a short sample only. Every recorded difference remains available in the immutable per-witness evidence file, so the page stays quick even when a third-party copy differs in many places.
Open Bibles repository
ComparedRelationship: third-party-copy · Independent lineage: unknown
A separately maintained public Bible collection. Its README identifies the BSB and public-domain status but does not establish an independent textual lineage, so ScriptureLeaf does not label it independent without stronger evidence. This verification release pins the exact repository commit used for comparison.

A separately maintained multi-format Bible database. Its BSB directory identifies the translation and CC0 status, but the repository evidence checked by ScriptureLeaf does not prove an independent textual lineage. This verification release pins the exact repository commit used for comparison.

OpenBible BSB source-control mirror
Recorded, not countedRelationship: same-source-normalisation · Independent lineage: no
This project describes itself as source control and normalisation for the Berean Standard Bible and points back to the official BSB download source. It is useful provenance evidence, not an independent textual witness.
Recorded for lineage transparency; not counted as an independent witness and not parsed by the first verifier release.
BSB Publishing conversion tools
Recorded, not countedRelationship: official-derived-representation · Independent lineage: no
Useful for checking versification and conversion behaviour, but generated from BSB/BibleHub source data and therefore not an independent textual lineage.
Lineage/reference source only; it must not inflate the independent-witness count.
Wikisource Berean Standard Bible
Recorded, not countedRelationship: community-published-copy · Independent lineage: unknown
A separately published community copy. Its exact import lineage and stable machine-readable extraction need to be established before ScriptureLeaf counts it in automated agreement statistics.
Research candidate; not counted until a deterministic verse-level adapter and lineage note are verified.
