Scripture, freely given and simply read.

Scripture Leaf exists to make it unusually pleasant to simply read the Bible. It is a quiet, public-domain reader for the Berean Standard Bible, shaped around the Berean pattern of Acts 17:11: receive the word eagerly and examine the Scriptures daily.

Why Scripture Leaf?

Many Bible apps are built around accounts, plans, notifications, social features and subscriptions. Scripture Leaf takes a deliberately smaller approach: open the Bible, choose where to read, and let the text take the attention.

It is free to use and free to share. There is no account, no advertising, no subscription and no paywall. Search, saved verses, reading position and reader preferences stay on your device.

Who it is for

Scripture Leaf is for anyone who simply wants to read Scripture: at home, in church, in a small group, while travelling, or when following a shared Bible reference. It is designed to be straightforward enough for a first-time visitor and useful enough to keep as a daily reader.

Made for sharing

The reader is intended to be passed on freely. Share a chapter, a verse or simply scriptureleaf.com. Someone can begin reading immediately without creating an account or installing anything, and can optionally install Scripture Leaf on their device for an app-like experience and offline reading.

The text

The Berean Standard Bible is a modern English translation designed for reading, study, memorisation and public use. Its translation project presents four related tiers, moving from the Greek and Hebrew source and interlinear material through literal and standard reading forms. The underlying interlinear study material is published by Bible Hub and BSB Publishing.

Text: the Berean Standard Bible, dedicated to the public domain by Bible Hub and BSB Publishing. Free to use, quote and share without permission.

Translation research

Scripture Leaf also publishes an independent, AI-assisted translation study comparing the BSB with ESV, NASB 2020, CSB 2020 and NIV 2011 across a frozen 160-passage challenge-and-control corpus. Two independent AI reviewer outputs are reported separately, and the study does not create an overall translation ranking or winner. Read the research, worked cases and method.

Publishing note

Scripture Leaf is an oh!digital project under the Our Haven imprint, designed as a digital reading edition of the public-domain Berean Standard Bible.

Privacy

Bookmarks, reading position and preferences remain in this browser. There are no user accounts and no reader database. Scripture Leaf may use privacy-preserving Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate visits and performance, but searches, saved verses and reading history are not sent as analytics events. Export your local data before moving devices if you want to carry it with you.
