God’s Faithful Messiah

1 The LORD said to my Lord:“ Sit at My right handuntil I make Your enemiesa footstool for Your feet.”Cited in Matthew 22:44, Mark 12:36, Luke 20:42–43, Acts 2:34–35, and Hebrews 1:13

The LORD extends Your mighty scepter from Zion:“ Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”

Your people shall be willingon Your day of battle.Arrayed in holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn,to You belongs the dew of Your youth.

The LORD has swornand will not change His mind:“ You are a priest foreverin the order of Melchizedek.”Cited in Hebrews 5:6, Hebrews 7:17, and Hebrews 7:21

The Lord is at Your right hand;He will crush kings in the day of His wrath.

He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead;He will crush the leaders far and wide.

He will drink from the brook by the road;therefore He will lift up His head.
